In Clayton High School a girl named Ariana Lacono was suspended from her school because of a piercing ,but not just any piercing ,a nose piercing. Ariana thinks it is a stupid idea that she got suspended for that reason. Her excuse for wearing the piercing was for religious reasons. Ariana was suspended multiple times each for the same reason but the punishment grows along with it.
I think that the school did a right thing. I am a wear that their is a thing here in america know as the 1st amendment. In the 1st amendment it is stated that it protect the freedom of religion and freedom of expression; but in our minds there is also something I like to call "TAKING IT TO THE LIMIT AMENDMENT." If the girl thinks that she will get away with a simple excuse like "it is my religion,"then she is very wrong. The matter to the fact is this, if a school doesn't put a stop to a small matter that may offend the school, the school itself is giving away free invitations to mess the school's code up. I don't like to pick sides but i am with school on this one...
